Patricia Miller, Owner
Patricia Miller is a retired Los Angles police officer who has trained and handled drug detection dogs in private industry since 1987. She was a dog handler and the principal owner of AmeriCanine canine drug detection services for over 10 years. Patricia trained and handled her Belgian Malinois in drug detection and pursuit arrests while working with the police department She is a Certified K9 Handler/Trainer and is DEA certified.
In her private life, Patricia is a dog fancier of many breeds. In early 2000 she started a business memorializing pets and creating artwork on beautiful river rock and glassware - endearing depictions of beloved family members. This business took her to dog shows across the country interacting, handling, and creating lasting memories for dog fanciers, exhibitors, judges, and breeders. As she traveled the country and talked with dog owners and professionals she realized there was a need for safe reliable transport of people's pets and show animals. This led her to establish Pets On Board Transport to provide this much needed service. Patricia is also a fine artist. Many of her paintings and renderings appear on the Pets on Board web site.
Lisa Marchiori, Co-owner
Lisa, the owner/founder of LNT Pet Transport Services which has been in operation this past decade, spent most of her adult life in the corporate world. She has experience in banking, healthcare, telecommunications and owned a successful Line-X Spray on bedliner franchise, making her the first woman owned operations in the United States.
Lisa’s passion for animals led her to the English Bulldog breed which she fell madly in love with, and took on with a life time dedication to the breed. She took two of her first three Bulldogs to the Championship Title and has gained vast experience in breeding, whelping, training/handling and most importantly, the extreme care needed in transporting the breed. Thus evolved LNT Pet Transport Services.
Early to mid 2009 Lisa Marchiori, and Patricia Miller where introduced through the transport industry and became fast friends realizing that both had the same philosophy and dedication to offering their pet clients the best and safest ground transport services possible.
By the beginning of 2010 with 24 hour transport service 7 days a week, Lisa and Patricia started working together to better serve the growing need of 1st class ground transport by covering each other during bad weather and unscheduled delays.
As of January 2012, Lisa (LNT Pet Transport), and Patricia Miller (Pets On Board Transport LLC) have 100% joined forces to offer our clients the best of both, thus becoming unsurpassed in joint efforts, knowledge of pet transport needs, and experience. (WELCOME ABOARD)
Karyn Dawes - Southern California Representative
Karyn Dawes, our Southern California representative, brings years of training experience to Pets on Board Transport. As owner of All Things Canine she offers training from basic household good manners through competitive obedience. At Dogpatch Dogsports, her fully equipped agility facility, she features agility classes from beginning confidence building through competition, teaching others the skills necessary to fully enjoy the dynamic sport of agility. Individual training sessions are currently available on a limited basis.
Over the past 25 years Karyn has successfully trained and shown her personal dogs in obedience, agility, Schutzhund, weight pull and Flyball.
Dave and Sharon Blalack - Oregon Representatives
Dave Blalack brings over 25 years experience as a professional over-the-road driver to the Pets On Board family. He has operated large tractor-trailer equipment as well as done motor coach transport and driven school bus. During his tenure with Pets On Board transport Dave has cared for a large variety of pets under his supervision including dogs, cats, pet rats, and birds.
Sharon Blalack, frequently travels with her husband to provide company and help care for the animals. Sharon spent time as a dog show vendor who, along with Patricia Miller, worked in creating custom river rock and glass memorials for pet owners.
Dave and Sharon are long time animal lovers who have raised Great Pyrenees and Australian Cattle Dogs. They are owner/operators of a small goat farm in Oregon
Rebecca Dennis, Consultant, EMT, M.A., MFT
Ms.Dennis is a practicing psychotherapist (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in Los Angeles, California. She was licensed in 1981 and has been treating children, individuals and families since that time. Ms. Dennis specializes in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and atypical depression. She has presented numerous seminars and in-service trainings on these subjects as well as on stress debriefing following the involvement or witnessing of traumatic events.
Ms. Dennis became involved in search and rescue about six years ago. She is a Certified K9 Handler, EMT, HAM operator, NASAR SARTech III and Certified Swiftwater Rescue Technician. Ms.Dennis is a CERT 3 involved with the Los Angeles City Fire Department as well as a LAPD Reserve Specialist Officer in search and rescue. She is a graduate of the Los Angeles area's FBI Citizens' Academy and is currently the Medical Officer of the California Emergency Mobile Patrol (CEMP), a volunteer search and rescue organization in the Los Angeles area. Ms.Dennis has also become a recent member of the Los Angeles City Mayor's Crisis Response Team (CRT).
Ms.Dennis is a staff writer for the Search Dog News, a journal about K9 Search and Rescue. She also gives seminars around the country relating to search and rescue, K9 SAR and the psychological aspects pertaining to lost person behavior and first responders.
